about

Greg and Justin were the songwriters in a band called Black Pony Express I joined many years ago. They both left us in recent years, way too early, and with much more music to make. This a cover of a song from the Black Pony Express album Home recorded by Simon Grounds. Rest easy dear friends.

lyrics

RAIN- Black Pony Express (Greg Bukshteyn & Justin Cusack)

Yeah I walk it like the rain
It’s dreamy like the sun
Yeah I walk with whats-her-name
And we run and run

Was I overcome
Was I overcome
By the rain, the rain

Yeah in the corner of the room
When there ain’t noone around
Yeah a long black cloud was planned
A scream without a sound

Was I overcome
Was I overcome
By the rain, rain

Well it’s a stumbling soft sound
The way you pressed and fell about
On that old seventies brown couch
Oh it slept without a sound
Was I overcome
Was I overcome
By the rain, by the rain
